Chapter 2: What in Carnation?
Stepping away from the crowded dance floor, you make your way to the Libertine Lounge and prop yourself a stool close to the bar, resting your sore feet. Oddly enough, it looks like it was vacated in a rush. Perhaps all the guests of the yearly masquerade are in the mood for dancing right now.
The bar is in disarray, shattered glass scattered on the counter. A wooden board with clumps of cream rests against a bar stool. A toppled-over, liquor-soaked handwritten sign partially reads, "Self Drinks break." You can't quite make out the rest of the writing.
"What in carnation-laced liquor…"
A figure crouches down to the side of the counter, taking out keys from his pocket to unlock a small door. He enters the counter and shakes his head at the mess. Seeing no one else around, he looks at you and growls.

"You there. Do you know what happened here?"
